All frames are hand made and gilded in house. Profile carving is done with hand planes and chisels along with corners finished with splines. Power tools are reserved for ripping large stock on a table saw and a miter saw is used for corner joints. Rough boards of cherry, maple, walnut, and pine are planed flat with a hand jointer. Ready made frames are made in standard small format sizes and may have some variation. Larger frames are available at shows or as commissions.
All hand carved frames are unique and the desired object to be framed may not be a perfect fit in a frame. Carefully measure your work!
Bright Ambrosia

A favorite design here, the Bright Ambrosia frames are made out of ambrosia maple with a red oak corner spline to reinforce the joint. Inner detail is hand leafed. These light and airy frames are inviting with their unique grain patterns.

Traditional Cherry

These Traditional Cherry frames have a bit of “meat” to them. With a little bit more impact, these frames can really stand out on a wall. All corner joints are reinforced with red oak splines
